Dear Beginner NGV User,
The number of unlicensed or barely-trained NGV installers are increasing. The problem created by these unlicensed installers are increasing as well.
Over night, NGV Information Team receives many phone calls from beginners seeking advice. To our team's surprise, there are 4 NGV Installers in Malacca, where there should only be 1 licensed installer. Further investigation reveal that the other 3 installer are normal mechanics whom are trying to pose as a licensed NGV Installers, under a borrow licensed scheme with a KL NGV Equipment Importer and Installer.
Barely-trained installers are mechanic shown how to install NGV. Unfortunately, they maybe able to install NGV into your car but they will surely lack the ability to troubleshoot problems. We have received and work on many of these vehicles over the last couple of months. On average, NGV Information Team is able to resolve the problem due to poor workmanship, reverse installation, exposed wiring and wrong usage of components. Statistically, we have 4 out of 5 cars resolved, where the 5th car owner is cheated blind.
Kindly ask to see their: a. JPJ licence under their name or subsidiary, b. Ask about technical stuff - like how the mixer work and listen to their response. c. Or verify with us on whether your chosen installer is licensed or posing to be licensed.
Perhaps, everybody believe that NGV conversion is a money maker, while many workshops are trying to take short-cut without obtaining proper licensing, knowledge and technical support to do so.
